Invoice Chaser is operated as a trading name. Our contact email is hello@invoicechaser.store. We are based in the United Kingdom.

2. What data we collect

• Account data — your name and email address when you sign up
• Usage data — how many emails you have generated, your subscription status
• Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details
• Content you enter — client names, invoice amounts, and overdue days you type into the generator. This is sent to our AI provider to generate your email and is not stored after the response is returned.

3. How we use your data

• To provide and operate the Invoice Chaser service
• To manage your account and subscription
• To send transactional emails (welcome email, billing receipts)
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Legal basis for processing

• Contract — processing is necessary to provide the service you signed up for
• Legitimate interests — preventing fraud and abuse, improving the product
• Legal obligation — retaining billing records as required by law

5. Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors to operate the service:

• Clerk — authentication and user account management (privacy policy)
• Stripe — payment processing (privacy policy)
• Anthropic — AI email generation. Input data is not used to train their models (privacy policy)
• Upstash — secure data storage (privacy policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery (privacy policy)
• Vercel — hosting and infrastructure (privacy policy)

6. Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain billing records (typically 7 years under UK tax law).

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability
• Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

We use only essential cookies required to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure credential storage via Clerk, and access-controlled databases. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your data.
